i posted this couple’s invitations about a month and a half ago, here. but, i don’t think you need any convincing on how warm, beautiful and full of life erin and alex both are after you peek at these amazing images from their photographer, stephen devries (the source of almost all the images below). these beautiful photos capture their zest for life and how sweet and meaningful this whole day was. both of them appreciate the arts deeply, and when they asked me to attend to all the details for their day, i was honored. from the tables at the reception to the candles and decor at the church, i handmade almost everything for this special day. i wanted each detail to stand out with thought and care, very similar to the way they tend to their relationships and people in their own lives. the doily underneath the communion was crocheted by me and the table was sourced from a local antique store. almost every piece on each table was handmade as well, from the “flowers” that i dyed from coffee filters to the table numbers that i shaped out of wire. i even created a stamp with their last name and date and created leaves to go at each guest’s place setting (check out something similar in the shop). the idea for this DIY was featured earlier this week on poppytalk! erin and alex, many blessings on your marriage and thank you for asking me to be a part of your day! enjoy!
